Aqua Instructor Course – Shallow & Deep

Aqua Fitness is a fun, energy filled, challenging way to exercise without putting any stress or strain on the body, making it one of the safest and most effective ways to exercise.

Become an Aqua Fitness Instructor – A low impact way to exercise with huge benefits!

Aqua Fitness classes are for any age and any ability, from non-swimmers to elite athletes. The water offers a safe and effective way to improve overall well-being, mental health, muscular and cardiovascular strength and endurance. The buoyancy of the water provides support and yet the density of the water creates huge resistance against moves carried out. Moving in the water, whether that is walking, jogging or doing plyometric jumps up and out of the water, has a different impact on the body compared to land-based fitness.

People may have the perception that Aqua Aerobics (Aqua Fitness, Aqua Workout, Water Fitness, Water Aerobics, water workout etc.) is easy however, it is far from that as the intensity can vary depending on the individual’s ability and strength. People are generally surprised at how hard the workout is and even how they get hot, and may I say, even sweaty.
Whether you are in the shallow water (water depth measuring up to chest height, approximately 1 – 1.2 m) or in the deep end (water depth where your feet are not touching the floor, approximately 1.4 m +) as a participant of Aqua Fitness you may burn more calories in the pool than in a land-based class despite not feeling as exhausted and overworked when you leave the pool.

As an Aqua Fitness Instructor delivering this style of class is fun, exciting and rewarding. Whilst the participants are in the swimming pool you are standing on poolside leading them through a class that may focus on their jump height or improve their strength focusing on fall prevention. You can create your own style or follow popular styles like Aqua HIIT/ Tabata, Aqua Blast, Aqua Power, Aqua Combat, Aqua Zumba, AcquaPole, Aqua Stand Up, Aqua Drum, just to name a few.
