Objectives,
– British Triathlon have the ambition to be “Be Best in Class in Safeguarding and Welfare”.
– British Triathlon want to have a safeguarded Technical Officials workforce, who have the confidence to deliver safeguarding best practice and help achieve the ambition of being “Be Best in Class in Safeguarding and Welfare”.
– British Triathlon want to empower the Technical Officials workforce to understand their role in safeguarding Children, adults and the sport of triathlon and support you in your role.
– British Triathlon believes this training is invaluable to the TO workforce and will support the British Triathlon vision and values.
– Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, British Triathlon want to support Technical officials to be the best role models and have an improved awareness and understanding of safeguarding.
Aim,
To ensure all technical officials understand their safeguarding role, responsibility and duty in line with the learning outcomes of the training which are,
– Recognise a safeguarding concern.
– Know how to Respond to a safeguarding concern.
– Understand how to Record safeguarding concern.
– Know how to Refer a safeguarding concern.
