-Identify the boney landmarks of the ankle and foot.
-Recall the joint actions performed by the calf, fibularis, and tibialis muscles.
-Compare the muscles that can contribute plantar flexion and dorsiflexion.
-Analyze a commonly performed lower body exercise and list the contributing ankle muscles.
-Develop a “real world example” of how intervention/exercise selection may be influenced by an understanding of the function and actions of the ankle joint muscles.
