The programme aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to help athletes perform to their best potential and tackle some of the health challenges such as musculoskeletal injury, diabetes, obesity and heart disease. Our curriculum emphasises hands-on, active learning and practical experience to gain an understanding of the scientific disciplines of biomechanics, physiology, psychology and nutrition. Learning to investigate ‘real world’ issues from a multidisciplinary perspective gives insight to new and emerging research themes from leaders in their field.
