This industry-accredited course is designed to give you the high-quality profession-specific training you need to be able to prevent assess diagnose and treat sports- and physical activity-related injuries. Your learning is hands-on with over 400 hours of practice placement across a range of settings.
The degree focuses on developing your practical skills while teaching you how to apply theory to underpin clinical reasoning. Study and practice areas may include gym instruction sports massage and manual therapies as well as anatomy biomechanics human physiology and different types of injury.
You put your learning into practice via case scenarios; on-site practice opportunities; work-based placement with industry experts some of whom are graduates of this course; and student learning trips. You may work with professional athletes members of the public and University staff as well as fellow students to improve quality of life and return to normal physical function.
