This introductory course is designed to give exercise professionals a practical insight into working confidently with clients or class participants who have kidney disease. The course covers the causes, pathophysiology, treatment options (including peritoneal and haemodialysis, transplant and supportive care) and management of the condition and its comorbidities. You will learn about the considerations and precautions to be taken when prescribing exercise for people with kidney disease, and how to apply the skills and knowledge you already possess both safely and effectively.
