Course description: This course aims to expand your coaching impact beyond physical activity, focusing on the holistic development of young people. Learn to create supportive and inclusive environments, integrate personal development activities into your sessions supporting young people to develop key skills such as self-awareness, building resilience, collaboration and leadership. You will also explore, and be supported to develop, the key coaching characteristic of a life champions coach which are; broader development, strong values, builds resilience, life skills, limits and supports and learn and improve. Equip yourself with the skills to mentor young athletes in life, not just in sports.

The learning experience will help you to:

• Awareness Enhancement: Increase your awareness of the broader impact of your coaching practice as Life Champions coaches, and how your influence extends beyond sports to positively shape the lives of young people.

• Characteristics and Behaviours: The learning will support you to be able to identify and embed the key characteristics and behaviours necessary for creating a supportive and inclusive environment for young people.

• Integration of Personal Development: Practical tools combined with key learning will enable you to be able to design and implement coaching sessions that integrate personal development activities, equipping young people with essential life skills.
