Posterior Hip (Gluteus Maximus, Medius, Minimus, and Piriformis)

-Recall the naming, structure, and function of the posterior hip muscles.
-Identify the attachments of the gluteal muscles.
-Identify the attachment of the piriformis muscle.
-Recall the joint actions performed by each of the posterior hip muscles.
-Analyze a commonly performed lower body exercise and list the contributing posterior hip muscles.
-Develop a “real world example” of how intervention/exercise selection may be influenced by an understanding of the function and actions of the posterior hip muscles.
