The National Pool Supervisor Qualification (NPSQ) is designed for those who manage lifeguards and have a responsibility to manage the health, safety and welfare of customers and other employees on a daily basis. The course is also designed for lifeguards wanting to progress in their career and build a future working within the leisure industry.
This qualification has been developed in response to employer and customer feedback and provides candidates with the necessary knowledge, skills and understanding required for them to be able to manage others in carrying out safe working practice in the leisure and pool environments.

Pre-requisites
- NPSQ Tutor candidates will need to hold: A recognised Teacher or Trainer qualification either RLSS UK Trainer Assessor qualification or Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or higher/equivalent). A recognised Health and Safety qualification either NEBOSH (General Certificate); IOSH Managing Safely; RLSS UK National Pool Management Qualification or CIMSPA Health and Safety Management in Leisure and Culture Facilities. Current RLSS UK Membership (Licence to Operate).
