Upon completion of this course: You will be able to plan and teach a water based group fitness class in shallow to transi- tional water; You will understand the properties of water and how this makes water based exercise different to land based exercise; You will be able to offer adaptations and modifications to enable an all inclusive water based group fitness class; You will have knowledge of common conditions, what exercises are suitable for those conditions and know when to refer to other professionals; You will have knowledge of pool safety procedures and standard operating procedures to ensure you work safely and in accordance with health and safety procedures; You will have knowledge of equipment available for water based classes and be able to teach noodle exercises.
