STA Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis

The four-hour CPR and Anaphylaxis course will teach you how to use an adrenaline auto-injector unit (AAI) such as an EpiPen safely and administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation correctly.

This qualification is particularly useful for anyone who spends a significant amount of time with someone who may suffer from anaphylaxis or anaphylactic shock due to a severe allergy, and covers a range of skills including: scene assessment, CPR, and using current AAIs such as EpiPen , Emerade or Jext .

Pre-requisites

Learners must be 16 years of age or above on the first day of the course. It is advisable that learners have a minimum of level 1 in literacy or numeracy or equivalent. Learners must be able to kneel on the floor to demonstrate CPR.
