The ‘Principles’ element of this course (Level 2 equivalent) develops the learners’ understanding of the legal framework associated with risk assessment, how they are written and acted upon, detailing the step by step approach to ensure they are as effective as possible.

The ‘Practice’ element of this course (Level 3) develops these concepts further through learners applying the principles to a real work based situation.

Pre-requisites

A basic knowledge of Health and Safety is required, and a Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace or equivalent is recommended. Learners must be at least 16 years of age.
